Matthew King
Manager, Global Commercial Operations, Belectric
Matthew has over 20 years of international experience in electrical engineered services and 10 years of those served within management of utility scale O&M, field services and asset management. He began his career with Eaton Electrical for 12 years, working as an electrical engineer and progressing to management of electrical field services where he headed up the design, build, installation and commissioning of containerised inverter stations for the UK’s first Solar Farms. Matthew has since held senior management positions at both Martifer Solar and LightsourceBP, where he managed in excess of 500MWp of utility scale assets; followed by Amberside Energy as Head of Operations, where he managed the continuous improvement of a portfolio of assets, O&M tenders and a team developing improved reporting and visualisation of performance data. Now, Matthew is Manager of Global Commercial Operations for Belectric Solar & Battery GmbH, where he leads all commercial O&M workstreams and client interface, whilst also working to help optimise O&M operations by means of incorporating new technologies, automation, and standardised working practices throughout the international business. As one of the largest O&M providers, globally, BELECTRIC’s full-integrated services support continuous operation. State-of-the-art solar power plant technology, energy storage technology and hybrid PV solutions support the grid infrastructure and therefore contribute to cost reductions within the energy sector.
